American history meets world history
Using Census data, this historigraph shows how the various countries of the world contributed emigrants to America. The countries are laid out in a similar spatial manner to the states in the other historigraphs. An additional layer of information is added in the form of the climate of each emigrating country, showing the changing geographic nature of mass migration, and restoring some latitude information lost in the 1D projection of the countries.
