Business problem

The ECIT division was building a self-serve enterprise software procurement platform and needed data visualization.

There was a strong push to use off-the-shelf PowerBI functionality to accomplish this data visualization, but PowerBI was still new and underpowered.

Solution

Design a comprehensive data visualization framework at the interface - not content - level, and advocate for improvements in PowerBI to power the data graphics.

Outcome

Many of my data visualization standards were integrated into Azure and other Microsoft Business products.

Catalyzed the improvement of PowerBI's ability to visualize complex graphics, as well as its API.
