I generated a preliminary concept to demonstrate what an experience might look like. It collected vital statistics about a user, picked out a set of evaluations for them to take regularly, and then doubled as a pill dose tracker to ensure that people would always have a use for the app. The initial concept was a mobile web app to minimize development costs for the necessary rapid iteration.
I then expanded the original concept into the blueprint of a minimum viable product. It was based on fundamental design principles that ensured an app that would meet minimum standards of usability even before any testing. This enabled us to get to user testing as soon as possible. Both time and budget were real considerations. The app would track the user's "inputs", i.e. the substances they consumed and their lifestyle, as well as their long-term factors, and their "outputs", the manifestation of their symptoms and well-being. It then correlated the inputs to outputs to isolate the effect of their supplements.
